The Prism Initiative
Shaping the Future of Mental Health—One Therapist at a Time
Black and Brown communities face significant mental health challenges—but remain deeply underrepresented among licensed therapists. Prism is a transformative initiative to change that. Led by Our Therapy Lab, Prism builds pathways for underrepresented individuals to become empowered mental health professionals.
Why Prism?
Over 70% of licensed mental health professionals in the U.S. are white.
Clients of color are more likely to drop out of therapy due to cultural mismatch.
Systemic barriers—like the cost of education and lack of mentorship—prevent many aspiring therapists from completing their training.
